I’ve been saying for years that high quality filmmaking and real world stories should meet up in documentary film. It’s what I strive for, and aspire to. Filmmaking friend Ryan Gibb and his partners have teamed up to make one of the most visually stunning films I’ve ever seen, LifeCycles. You can watch the trailer here
I spoke with Ryan when they were mid-way through production and I have to say I’m blown away by what they’ve achieved. The film was shot on a RED ONE, and Nikon lenses. The locations were pain-stakingly selected and tons of equipment brought in. Trails were cut, jumps made…this film represents – truly – a project filled to the brim with blood, sweat, and tears. This film will not only put Ryan and his team firmly on the map, but their brand of film will be in demand for years. Congrats Ryan, and I’m looking forward to seeing the film when it arrives in a couple weeks.
